FAQs
Q: What happens if I fail or don’t like my score?
There’s no way to fail this test. The questions are set up to be very difficult, making it unlikely that many can be answered. Don’t fret, that’s completely normal. Your score is kept private unless you choose to share it. You can always retake the test for free as many times as you like.
Q: How do I prepare to improve my score?
We recommend that people use the Khan Academy Digital SAT Practice Course or other K-12 materials to prepare for the CPT.
Q: How can I use my score to secure job interviews and offers?
Your CPT score shows employers you have the foundational skills required to do the job regardless of formal education or experience. Employers may accept the CPT as a replacement for formal education or previous experience.
We recommend showcasing the value of your CPT score and linking to your results on your resume and LinkedIn profile. You can also use it as a talking point in your job applications and interviews along with sharing a link to your results.
